NGA is an $8 million-revenue association representing independent grocers. Its offices have been based in the Arlington neighborhood of Ballston for the past two decades, but on March 1 the group announced it had moved into new offices at 601 Pennsylvania Ave. NW in D.C.
"Our move from the Virginia suburbs onto Pennsylvania Avenue in the heart of the nation's capital will position NGA to have a greater influence in Washington, D.C., while providing a venue to host lawmakers, policy experts and, most importantly, our members," NGA CEO Greg Ferrara said in a statement. "This move allows our organization to operate more efficiently while being strategically located between the U.S. Capitol, White House and key federal agencies."
NGA's 16 staff will occupy approximately 5,700 square feet of office space, including a large conference room and space to host meetings and events. Terms of the lease were not disclosed.
